As in anything political the facts don’t seem to matter. You all remember the mantra that the world would end in 12 years. Well, that came and went. Then the war on fossil fuels ignited (pardon the pun) reducing the US to a beggar for dirtier oil from the likes of Venezuela, and OPEC. And now the all-in electric transformation that will never be able to supply enough energy to sustain the country.
Should our elimination of oil and gas as energy sources improve our carbon footprint would make little difference. We are only 6.1% of the global land mass. Doing the simple math that leaves 93.9% as the cohort of nations besides ours. (See chart below). The four largest countries are Russia 11%, Canada 6.3%, China 6.3% and the United States 6.1%.

6.1% vs 93.9%. Who could possibly think that what we do will have any impact whatsoever. As the Biden administration bends over backwards and ties itself into a very ugly pretzel shape for the appeasement of aggressive greensters it is the country writ large that suffers.
“Transformation comes with a price tag” is not only implied but spoken out loud by the likes of Mayor Pete, and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. The loss of energy independence – where the country was when Biden took office – is a driving force behind 40-year high inflation. Not to mention the scarcity of certain consumer goods.
Attempting to set the record straight. Temperature records that are being broken only point up the cyclical nature of weather. Just recently a record from 1929 was broken. Now, if you are a climate hawk you would use that information to prove your point. Never mind that a similar temperature took place almost one hundred years ago. Further, the deaths from severe weather events have decreased by 99% over that same period. Twisted logic is used to promote scant scientific facts.
The Artic Ice Cap has decreased while the Antarctica ice has experienced an expansion.
We are living in the canary in the coal mine era and the poor bird’s corpse could be a logo of the climate change warriors. Making it worse they go around saying the sky is falling.
The point of all of this is that subjecting the American public to forced electrification, forced abandonment of fossil fuels is a fool’s errand. Renewables, without adding nuclear, will never produce enough energy to power the 350 million plus people that live in the US. Further, the batteries, the turbine blades, and the actual generation of electrical power all present serious environmental conditions.
The rhetoric of the left is loud, yes, but more reasoned thought takes an all in approach to helping the small little corner of the planet we occupy makes entirely more sense.
