Death to Israel, Death to America chants are echoed across the country and the world. Seething antisemitism (read Jew hatred) is the truth surfacing. The Israel war with Hamas is the spotlight shining the dark underbelly of the depth of sentiments of non combatants in general.
Mass demonstrations waving Palestinian flags, wearing Palestine themed garments, wearing masks are live everyday on campuses, civic institutions play out on television screens almost universally.
When an enemy says they want to kill you, believe them.
Going just a few steps beyond the current surge in antisemitism is the hate of Christians. It is witnessed by the wholesale murders of vast numbers of Catholics and Christians in Africa and the third world.
Considering that our country was formed representing Judeo-Christian principles and values the founders never foresaw such deterioration of the fundamentals of America. Idle witness to the current chaos will bring upon us the complete and utter dismantling of our country.
Christians and Jews must make themselves responsible for the outcome of such hateful attacks, whether verbal or physical. There shall be no yellow stars worn on the way to the Nazi ovens. There shall be a forceful, vigilant, and aggressive counter wherever the haters are encountered. Appeasement and toleration are no longer worth the effort. It is time to approach these miscreants with vigorous action.
What follows was an article that I wrote in December 2019.
Christians and Jews need to be armed.
As the global onslaught on religion marches on one thing is abundantly clear. Churches and synagogues can no longer be soft targets. Their perimeters must be manned, and their places of worship hardened (read armed).
Turning a cheek is one thing, being a sitting duck is quite another.
The religiosity of both Christians and Jews alike is to be open and welcoming to all those called to be with God and the congregation. For millennia congregations threw open their doors with little or no concern that evil would step in. Sadly, evil has taken hold in the world and is making its presence known.
St. Michael the Archangel, God’s warrior cannot contain all of the demons and evil spirits that have taken over so many human beings. Once corrupted the barbarians become unleashed and focus only on destruction and killing. Of course, the most valuable targets to them are those people adhering to their faith and joining together for services.
The recent West Freeway Church of Christ in Texas is the prime example of what needs to be done to protect our fellow parishioners and congregants. They had the forethought to take steps for the unthinkable. Utilizing former law enforcement members of the church and training them in tactics for an active shooter in their midst a massive tragedy was short-circuited. Two died but 240 survived. In a mere six seconds the shooter was taken down.
In contrast the Monsey New York Hanukah celebration was unprepared for the entrance of a machete wielding maniac. God shined on them and the attack was less than it could have been because of the celebrants throwing tables and chairs at the culprit. One very alert attendee chased the perpetrator outside to prevent him entering the synagogue proper and was fortunate to capture the plate number of the getaway car. The monster was apprehended by two sharp eyed NYCPD patrolman on the streets of Manhattan.
Of course, these are only two of the recent attacks but serve as an example of putting up a defense for oneself and those around us.
Gun free zones and soft targets need a second thinking. Bad guys with guns kill good guys without guns. The equation needs to be good guys kill bad guys with guns.
Protecting the house of God is not a sin but a calling from above.
In 2024 protecting God’s people is our highest calling.
