The southern boundaries of our country a beyond porous they are virtually non existent. Mexico, although not directly responsible for the massive influx of people and drugs it has lost control in both instances.
Approaching 4 million immigrants that have transited across our southern neighbor, from over 100 other countries, assisted in many cases by coyotes and human trafficker's that are part of the cartel infrastructure on that side of the border. The population of the United States is around 340,000,000 the illegal aliens entering our country, not counting the "got aways", is approximately 1 1/4 percent. That is beyond serious since so many will just fade in the population waiting for amnesty or a pathway to citizenship. If the "Dreamers" issue is eventually resolve with some type of eligibility to citizenship the situation at the border will be overrun by those grabbing for the golden ticket. The sign will read "Welcome to the United States of America Please indicate your preferred destination. Transportation will be provided."
If those very same people wore uniforms or camo they would most certainly be considered an invading force and a sizeable one at that.
Mexican instability was on display when the Los Mexicles gang, with links to the Sinaloa cartel drove several armored vehicles and attacked a prison in Cuidad Juarez killing 10 guards and 7 prisoners. Over 30 prisoners escaped, among them Ernesto Pinon de la Cruz (El Neto) the Mexicles leader. The first break out attempt in 2010 was a failure. El Neto continued to run his gang from his prison cell in the lap of luxury. On top of the chaos created by this vicious attack the after incident investigation revealed more that 10 "VIP" cells. El Neto's was equipped with a jacuzzi, a plasma TV and a safe containing 1.7million pesos ( worth $87,000 US dollars). Crystal meth, heroin and marijuana as well as several weapons were seized inside the cell.
Recall that the Sinaloa cartel is one of the most prevasive, powerful and vicious organization terrorizing Mexico. They are a significant player in the movement of fentanyl across the border. over 110,000 deaths are attributed to the lethal synthetic. It is believed that enough of the dangerous drug has entered the country to kill our entire population. In fact the epidemic is so amorphous that there is a State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS). The unintentional aspect is due the fentanyl embedded in other medications, both legal and illicit.
So we have an invasion of illegal migrants flooding the country, human traffickers', drug cartels smuggling massive quantities of the deadly drug and now organizing a prison break just 6 miles from El Paso.
President Biden is scheduled to meet with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in what is being called a summit. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will also be in attendance. It will be the perfect time for Biden to lay down the law. “Mr. Obrador, you are on notice that if you cannot regain your countries stability in terms of immigration, human trafficking, and drug cartels, we will be sending expeditionary forces in sufficient quantity to stem the tide of each. But, mostly to eradicate the cartels who have corrupted your country, ravaging the innocent citizens and terrorized the towns. I am not asking permission or threatening but am merely stating the eventuality if things do not change on your side of our southern border.”
I may be being fantastical, yet would that not at the very least get the Mexicans attention and put them on notice that we have had enough.
