I consider myself informed on many of today’s important topics.
One such topic is the challenge of the COVID 19 pandemic and the battle to defeat it.
On background, you should know that I have been hospitalized with COVID for 23 days, received two Moderna vaccinations and have been following the Delta variant outbreak fairly closely.
Being vaccinated after COVID caused me to believe that I was very well protected with antibodies. I was feeling not only fortunate but grateful that my situation was helped by a vaccine that took a monumental effort to develop in such short order. The statistics support its efficacy.
I do challenge certain steps by the government and various agencies messaging and threats to mandate vaccination. Likely mandates are unconstitutional. But that is for another conversation.
What I didn’t know, until yesterday, was that in developing the vaccines fetal tissue from aborted babies were used. I was mortified. I had been ignorant to something that I am vehemently against.
I have been devoted to the unborn for many years. I write, I have a website dedicated to the fight of protecting the babies from abortion, I have even designed and developed a lapel pin to remember the sixty million plus little ones we have lost to abortion. Imagine my dismay, shame and sorry to learn that I have in ignorance participated in the process that victimized the unborn. If even more so, my heart ache was a blow that is difficult to deal with.
Had I known, I would have never taken the vaccines. This newly acquired knowledge has seismically changed my position of supporting vaccination for people who choose to be inoculated. I am now of the mind that the vaccine should be avoided in most cases. It is difficult for me to grasp that my life has been improved at such a cost. I pray for forgiveness that my ignorance was in anyway seen as agreeing with the process of the vaccine development.
For those still unvaccinated I ask that you search your heart before making your decision to vaccinate or not.
