The Democrats are saying that in-person voting is hazardous to your health. Wouldn’t going to Walmart, Target, Costco or any other big box store be the same?
Here’s the thing.
There are several reasons why universal mail in ballots will not work.
· Voter registration rolls are notoriously inaccurate.
· The voter registration list that California is planning to use is 117% of the population.
· Dead people, people who are no longer living in the state or cities are still on the lists
· Miss addressed ballots can wind up in the wrong hands
· Ballots can be forged
· Board of elections will never be able to process the volume of mailed ballots.
· The public does not understand that an absentee ballot is different.
Remember the hanging chad debacle in the Bush v. Gore presidential election. The Democrats came away from that claiming that Bush stole the election. That seems to be Dem pattern, every time they lose, they cry foul.
One simple change makes this whole issue mute. Allow absentee ballots to be requested for any reason or no reason at all. “I’m tired on Tuesdays, please send me a ballot” “My dog has a vet appointment that day, please send me a ballot.” “I’m afraid of COVID, please send me a ballot” … Approved, Approved and Approved and the ballots are sent. We know who requested and we can match the returned vote to the request. Easy peesy.
The Democrats rail against voter ID for the same reason they are now demanding universal mail-in ballots. They always claim that some voters, especially minorities, will be disenfranchised. Yet, having and producing ID is required in daily life. You cannot cash a check, drive a car, apply for a permit of any kind, visit a prisoner or a hundred other situations without proper ID. Lack of voter identity is ripe with the potential for fraud. This year they are peddling the fear of COVID as the foundation of their demands. Nothing could be hollower or more transparent. If that many of the eligible voters were fearful then why is there so much foot traffic at stores, restaurants, salons, parks and beaches. Apparently not everyone is scared.
Once again, the left is asking the entire country to sit on their intellect and buy into this ridiculous premise.
Get off the couch and get to the polling station on November 3rd. Go online and request an absentee ballot ahead of time. The most important thing is that you vote. And if you live in Chicago, or any other Democrat controlled city, remember to vote early and vote often.
