That is right. America as we know it is dying. Little bits at a time. Over and over things that have always stood for the American way of life are being downgraded, disfavored or completely eliminated.
In the name of evolution, evolving and the changing of societal mindset what was once recognized as family, faith and country are headed to the trash heap of history without a huge STOP sign being erected by those of us who still believe in American exceptionalism, patriotism and that we are still the greatest country on the face of the earth.
Why is America dying? One word, Progressives. Progressives is the mantle that has been adopted by the far-left Marxist, Socialist and Communist activists among us. Social justice warriors, environmental fanatics, wealth redistribution proponents each chipping away at once immutable American values.
The decline is becoming breakneck.
This has been a slow drip until now. Administration after administration has either pandered to the left, played down the effect of its agenda, or ignored the traction they were getting. The result is the establishment of the “Squad” and similar groups who openly proclaimed their negative opinions of American society, way of life, values and government. None of which is factual. Black Lives Matter was the child of false narratives of “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” after a law enforcement involved shooting. The mantra has long since been disproved yet if is still one of the rallying cries of BLM and other racial instigators. The George Floyd death and the dramatic video increased the volume of the anti-police activists. Dramatic and tragic as that was the resultant rioting, destruction and injury was tolerated by administration and politicians due to the fear of calling out the chaos and forcefully stopping the anarchy. What has been completely avoided is any conversation tied to Mr. Floyd’s life, his long criminal record, his drug addiction, or the fact that he had lethal levels of drugs in his system at the time of his death. Since that incident, the flames of racial tension have been allowed to reach the level of a multi alarm fire.
The weak-kneed compliance of the citizenry could not be more pronounced than the draconian edicts issued from Washington DC and Governors mansions across the country in response to the China virus. For over a year, stay at home orders were followed, masks and gloves were required to move about, physical separation was mandated, and we complied without as much as a whimper. This has been proved to be a learning moment for the left. They now know how easily the country will fold to their agenda.
The environmental zealots led by an ignorant teenager from a foreign land have predicted the end of the world as we know it because we have destroyed nature and dirtied the planet. The voice of scientists who disagree are labeled with invectives of every kind. Yet, an honest review of the condition of planet Earth speaks volumes against their sky is falling rhetoric. Weather is and has always been cyclical. Temperature measurements over decades reveal just that, weather is weather and there is no evidence of a pattern that will change the planet. Yet the drumbeats continue.
Gun control is the immediate reaction of the left as their response to rising crime rates across the country especially in democratic run major cities. Gun control has never been the real issue. Bad people, thugs, gang bangers have always been the problem. Being blind to reality or merely acting out their progressive agenda changes in the criminal justice system in the name of combatting racial disparity has tipped the scales of justice. Criminals of all sorts enter the court system through one door and almost immediately exit through another. Turnstile justice doesn’t come close to describing what is happening. Exacerbated by the Soros backed newly elected District Attorneys, prosecution of criminals must be aligned with the social aspects of the perpetrator’s life, not the egregious acts that they have inflicted on society and individuals. Law enforcement cannot be relegated to a social service. It is quite dangerous, often upsetting but always necessary if a civil society is to exist.
The symbols of our glorious, and sometimes nefarious past are no longer seen as markers of our development as a country or our improvements over our history. Respect and understanding of history is irrelevant to the leftist activists that abound. The distortion of history is right out of the Communist Manifesto and chronicled in George Orwell’s 1984. Facts are muddled, ignored or changed to fit the agenda of the day. No one in the country is proud of the slavery that existed, but we should be proud of the fact that it was recognized and eradicated and that we have moved on. Critical Race Theory, making all outcomes analogous to the color of our skin is absurd on its face. The list of historical and contemporary black leaders belays that nonsense. A fifth graded can tell you that the ratio of ethnic population is the barometer of equality of accomplishments. Nonwhite citizens make up approximately 40 percent of the population. The largest sector is white or Caucasian. Any perceived imbalance is more a result of demographics and not anything that could be considered systematic racism. Distorted rhetoric from the activists is not based on facts. Personal responsibility and good decisions on the road to success are ignored. White privilege is the catch all phrase that claims nonwhites are always in a lesser position and held back because they are not white.
As a country we have lost the partisanship that once existed in the halls of government. It seems that agendas of both sides take precedence over what is beneficial to the good order of the republic. This divide is counter productive and subjects us to massive swings in focus. Judges have become activists in their slanted interpretations of law. Some of the tortured logic employed by tenured justices is in a word, illogical.
Having said all the foregoing, the real issue is you. You are the only one who can help revive and restore the founding principals of the country. Sitting back and hoping for the best is no longer and option. Saving the United States of America is an all-hands-on deck situation. Do not allow the progressives to install their Marxist, Socialist and Communism as the final of the thousand cuts that will kill our country. It is up to you.
