They are identifying and removing or destroying any symbols that they dane to be offensive or hate filled examples of the past.
Robert E. Lee, Christopher Columbus and even William Shakespeare have fallen victim to the offended. The few, the loud, the lunatic fringe is holding sway over spineless politicians, college administrators and civilians.
Once a thing is identified by them as hateful or offensive the powers that be trip over themselves to be the first to echo the sentiments and rush to remove the offensive object.
The very original epic movie from the silent era, Birth of A Nation previously renowned for its sheer massiveness for its time has now been banished to the scrap heap of cellulose because the subject matter was so pro Klansmen. Now, truth be told that is absolutely correct and so in the rearview mirror of the country that it is but a caricature of days gone by. But does that mean that historically it is now nonexistent.
Next up will be Gone With The Wind. Once they victim class remembers it.
