Obama pardons and commutes sentences for a record number of convicts and right behind that releases 20 more from Guantanamo. Not to be undone Governor Andrew Cuomo commutes the sentence of a Black Liberation Army cop killer.
This progressive crap is going too far.
Obama clearly is giving the finger to the incoming administration as he releases 20 more of the most deadly, aggressive and wanton terrorists. His spokesman, Josh Earnest, says their will be more before January 20th. The President knows full well that these people were imprisoned in Cuba all this time for a reason. They were too dangerous not to be. Nothing has changed that equation.
Obama from the beginning has said Guantanamo was a battle cry for ISIS - or as he calls them ISIL - and aids in their recruiting. That has been total hogwash all along. Have the previous releases diminished the desire of ISIS to establish a caliphate through violence, killing and mayhem across the world? Simple answer, NO. He has now crossed the line in his arrogance.
His inflated ego will not allow him to pass the baton to the next President in a clear, calm and orderly fashion. "Elections have consequences", he said in 2009, apparently he does not believe that applies to him.
With only days to go before he leaves office Obama has thrown Israel under the bus at the U.N. in an unprecedented abstention that vilifies the only democracy in the Middle East and completely misstates the dynamic at play. Israel has from 1948 been subject to attacks and attempts to destroy it by the very people that Obama now gives the high road. His over reach has even disregarded history of thousands of years. The Palestinians never had claim to the the land. He has created a land grab that blocks any development of any kind across large sections of the country to appease his environmental fringe followers. He is meeting with the Democrat members of Congress to lay out a plan to block the repeal of his top legacy item, the Affordable Care Act, affectionately known as Obamacare.
But, back to the progressive torture of justice in the release, commutation and pardon of convicted criminals. Granted this is a phenomenon that takes place at the highest levels of government at the end of the terms of outgoing administrations but what we are witnessing in 2017 goes so far beyond what would be considered normal or regular processes.
Obama has exceeded all of his predecessors combined. He has reached well over 1,000 in pardons and commutations. One has to wonder what he will be doing in the last days. If he is a creature of his own history he will accelerate the process and do even more. the media doesn't seem to care. No one has asked for a reporting of the who or why behind the numbers. Historically, political players have been included in the process so one has to wonder if one of the last to be pardoned will be Hillary Clinton.
Meanwhile in New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has commuted the sentence of Judith Clark convicted in 1981 for the killing of two Nyack Police Officers and a security guard in a daring robbery. Cuomo even had the nerve to defend his action by saying the she was only 20 years olds at the time and did not pull the trigger and is a model prisoner. First of all she was 31 at the time, drove the getaway car and don't forget a member of the Black Liberation Army. Cuomo's bleeding heart exclaimed, "when is enough time enough?" maybe he should ask the families of the dead officers and security guard who never got their full measure of time.
Cuomo is positioning himself for a Presidential run in 2020 and is clearly laying the ground work with the extreme left at the expense of good government and protection of the constituents. It appears that agenda, especially progressive agenda, now tops any consideration otherwise.
January 20th cannot come fast enough.
