Omar Mateen entered the Pulse nightclub in Orlando and killed 50 people and wounded almost as many more. Omar Mateen said that the attack was ISIS inspired and even dedicated to his brothers in arms. Omar Mateen was on the FBI radar multiple times in the not too distant past. Omar Mateen was a radicalized American citizen. Omar Mateen purposefully and wantonly targeted the vulnerable LBGT community. - but it is the gun laws that are responsible.
What unmitigated BS.
The President used the word terror to describe the massacre, but did he say by who? Not on your life. He used the opportunity to deflect from those actually responsible – radical Muslim jihadists - to his agenda item of gun laws. Following his lead a whole cacophony of liberals and anti gun activists raised the same blame. Again I say what unmitigated BS. Not a minute was wasted on grieving for the deceased or wounded for their families and loved ones before the politics of deflection showed up.
Damn it - 50 Americans have died at the hands of a radical Muslim terrorist. Was not that the same thing that happened on 9/11. Americans died at the hands of Muslim terrorists flying planes and killing 3,000. Is 50 not significant enough to raise the ire of the country. Mr. Obama and his comrades keep deflecting so the conversation changes and the people a lulled into a different conversation. Damn it - we come first. We are under attack and no one on the left wants to say so. Unmitigated BS. Are guns really the problem? I cannot disagree more.
There are 300 million guns in America and 99.99% of those are owned by ordinary law abiding citizens. There are millions of traffic accidents and thousands of fatalities related to those. So we should ban guns and cars if you follow the left leaning logic. It is true that this lunatic radical Islamic jihadist was able to gain guns through legal channels. But that does not change who and what he was. A radicalized American Muslim bent on the killing of infidels.
Over the years the liberal political class has learned a very valuable lesson…. Do not waste a perfectly good bad situation or event to advance the agenda. Hillary could not wait to jump on board the gun train. Although she was forced to identify that the shooting and killing was done by “radical Islamic jihadist” she quickly transitioned to “it is the fault of the gun laws in this country”
Deflection has become an art form in politics. Truth is ignored, facts are denied and spin is the result. What unmitigated BS.
If you, or anyone, are not willing to protect America from our enemy than you are one of them. There are no excuses for cowardice in war.
