"The lady doth protest too much, methinks" is a quotation from the 1599/1600 play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. It has been used as a figure of speech, in various phrasings, to describe someone's too frequent and vehement attempts to convince others of some matter of which the opposite is true, thereby making themselves appear defensive, and insincere.
I don't know what more needs to be said. Hillary has spun the same yarn for over a year about her private e-mail server use.
"It was approved"

"It was allowed"
"It was what my predecessor did"
"I have cooperated fully with the FBI 'security review'
"I deleted only what was personal"
"I have turned over all my e-mails"
Thinner and thinner the protestations become. So much so that her allies in the liberal media are having a hard time covering for her and in some cases down right identifying the lies.
It is coming to a head.
Her top aides are being questioned in connection with the Judicial Watch lawsuit into the violation of the the FOIA laws relating to the e-mails. They brought, are you ready, seven lawyers. Four private and 3 from the State Department. It was an objection fest as time and time again important questions were not permitted. The proceeding appears to have taken on the complexion of massive cover up.
Even Mika on MSNBC was visibly reacting in disbelief. In fact she rolled her eyes in total derision of the absolute reality that Hillary had lied, not once, not twice but in Mika's own words..... "Over and Over and Over and Over and Over". When your pals who have earned their living supporting you are jumping ship the end may be very near indeed.
Just today a new name was dropped into the mix. A Mr. Bentel, retired State Department employee who was in charge of the exact system that Hillary was supposed to be using.
It is alleged by two other staff members that when they brought up the e-mails they were virtually told of mind their own business and never discuss Madam Clinton's way of doing things.
The FBI may be doing the slow walk with their investigation, but they can't possibly delay it much longer. The court of popular opinion will be demanding that they come forward with what they know. The left will scream if criminal charges are forthcoming, but so be it.
40 years of slip sliding, ducking and hiding from scandal after scandal may now be over and thank God for that.
