Volume does not increase the level of barbarism displayed by the ISIS Islamic radical jihadists. One beheading or one burning alive or 21 Copts killed on a beach or 45 Iraqis killed in Al-Baghdadi is always one too many.
With horror and bewilderment the world watches as the acts escalate. We are witnessing the coming tide that knows no boundaries – philosophically- religiously- morally or even human. The longer these atrocities are allowed to go on the more dramatic and flagrant they will become. Bigger numbers and more savage acts are in the offing. Be sure of it.
The world is trying to amass its’ collective will to defeat ISIS. As each country is touched by them they begin to rise up against them. It is just a matter of time before the sheer weight of retaliation has positive results on eradicating this scourge. Rhetoric will not have any affect on the outcome. Only action against Islamic extremist jihadists that will kill them and drive them in hell will be sufficient. World leaders who refuse to engage in the fit with will, strength, courage and zeal will be cast on the dung heap of history. Weak willed, cowardly, half hearted and timid leaders need to know that now is the time for them to steel their spines, hoist the banner and march out in front of the warriors.
The world lacks a galvanizing figure to lead the charge. A Churchill, a General Patton or Mac Arthur are nowhere to be found. Reagan stood up to the USSR and told them to “Tear down this wall” and backed up his words, JFK looked the Russians in the eye and didn't blink when they had Soviet missiles ninety miles from our shores. FDR rose up immediately after the November 7th attack on Pearl Harbor. Action in all cases prevailed. Words were of no consequence.
The problem will be that the tentacles have grown long and deep in many of the lands that have been heavily populated by Muslims. Look at England, France, Germany and the US as examples, all home to thousands of transplants from the Middle East. Many of the immigrants have congregated with their own in small neighborhoods that are intolerant of the local native peoples. There has been limited or non existent assimilation. Sharia law is the primary law in many of those enclaves. Local authority and laws are eschewed and disregarded. Police are warned to stay away and allow the indigenous population to manage their own affairs. It is the breeding ground for the future of ISIS.
ISIS will never be completely defeated until the “peaceful” Muslim community rises up alongside all the other nations and religions to do so. The question is, are their enough of those Muslims who hold peace and tolerance in their hearts. Is that hope just more political correctness and wishful thinking? We have not seen the signs of Imams or clerics truly angry enough to stand up against those who are allegedly high jacking Islam. Are we just being told that the extremist jihadists are not representative of Islam? Can the ideology of Islam really be violent at its core? One would hope that that is not true, but where are the voices to the contrary?
